DHCP Issue was created by vivek_abhani
Hi Guys,
I have 1 DHCP related query. I have 2 sites connected through VPN.
Both are connected through firewall with VPN technology.
I attach scenario file here.
On 1 side I have 1 DHCP server having IP address of 20.20.20.20. Now on other side I have 1 PC having 10.10.10.x series network.
Now my question is can I configure DHCP server such that it gives IP to Client PC dynamically with the help of using this DHCP server ? Let's say it gives IP dynamically 10.10.10.2.
Note : DHCP server is having pool of 20.20.20.0 network.
Is it possible to set 2 concurrent ip pools on DHCP server ?
Thanks,
Vivek

Hi vivek. Yes it is possible to configure two DHCP pools on for different networks. Just make sure that you give the pools two different names and configure two different interfaces to have ip addresses in the two subnets.
If the interface ip addresses are not in the same subnet as the pool network, you can use the 'ip helper-address' command that converts the dhcp broadcast to a unicast message directed to your DHCP server.
