VTP client

Hi,

Just want to ask, i have configured my switch to client which is connected to another server mode switch. And now plan to change to other IP address.

My question is, does changing IP adderss (in CLIENT) switch will affected its vtp configuration? such as vlan reset, and etc??

Hi kogula14,

No, as far a I know. Changing the IP of the switch will NOT cause any changes to it's VTP config or settings. VTP is a layer 2 protocol, it shouldn't be affected by layer 3 settings.
