Sure, this configuration works well for me. I sell bandwidth to my clients and it seems to do well for me, i rate limit their interface connections with QoS. Im using this on a fast ethernet port and it works ok.
I had to resolve to this config because my router's ios doesn't support the 'rate-limit' command. Its the one command i know that works perfectly on either ingress or egress ports.
For QoS, the only issue comes about if you are using an ISP for end-to-end QoS, they will always rip you off!
