RIP V2, spurious entries was created by Arani
Hi All,
Have a look at the network design. I am getting spurious RIP V2 entries on the router's config file when I have not entered them myself. e.g.
1) Router 5 shows an entry for 10.0.0.0 network when it should only be the following:
network 20.0.0.0
network 21.0.0.0
network 22.0.0.0
network 192.168.2.0
2) Router 4 shows an entry for 11.0.0.0 network when it should only be the following:
network 12.0.0.0
network 22.0.0.0
network 200.0.0.0
Once I manually removed them from the config file, it went away. But I am puzzled as to why it appeared in the first place
Any leads? Oh by the way, the link between Router 2 - Router 3 is network 100.0.0.0 and link between Router 3 - Router 4 is network 200.0.0.0

You're not talking about the routing table on routers 5 and 4, but rather about something that pertains to GNS3 (looks like GNS3), right?

Ahhh, I'm not very familiar with Packet Tracer . Also thought it was an issue with those routes showing up in the routing tables for the mentioned routers
