I've been getting reports from my isp saying that one of the ip addresses allocated to us is being used for spam. We were allocated 5 ip addresses but we only use 3 at the moment. 1 is nat to the router and the other 2 we use for remote desktop.
The 4th ip address which we dont and have never used for anything is apparently being used for spam. the router where all this is being manageg by the isp and i do not have access to it.
We use this isp just for browsing the internet. Ever since this started th browsing have been intermittent.
we have another isp which we use for emails which is totally independent from the the first one.
My questions are:
1. Could it be that there's a problem on the network
2. Could it be that someone else is using the ip address
3. Is there any tests I can do to test my network
I spoke to someone who said I should an open relay test on the network.
any software I can use to do the openrelay tests
