Router on stick--ip helper was created by mic
Hello everyone, if you where to set up 3 vlans on different subnets using a layer two (3500xl), config router on stick and going to use ip helper command for ip addresses to vlans, DHCP is on server 2003 and you set up 3 scopes for every vlan, now you have different subnets, when you set up your scopes up what do you put in as the default gateway in each scope, and should you also put other scope options as well. Also with ip helper command it should be placed on all routers subinterfaces should they all point to ip address of server, any help would be great. Thanks mic

The default gateway of each scope should be the ip address of the router in that subnet. So if you have a 10.1.1.X subnet, and the router interface ip address is 10.1.1.1 then 10.1.1.1 should be the default gateway.
The Ip helper address should be the address of the DHCP server.
The Ip helper address should be the address of the DHCP server.
