3500xl

hello everyone thanks for help, i got 3500xl switch with lost password, i did perform the tasks to the recovery, which is posted -flash_init, load_helper,dr flash:, rename, boot, enable, rename again back, but when i get to last step copy flash:config.text system:running-config it ask for a confirm by, then starts to look for a domain till times out, anybody got any thing that might help me ,, thanks much Boe??

For the last command, it should show an output like this:

[code:1]Switch# copy flash:config.text system:running-config
Destination filename [running-config]? [/code:1]

For the destination file, just press enter. if you did so, can show us the exact output that your getting?

Switch#rename flash:config.old flash:config.text
Destination filename [config.text]?
Switch#copy flash:config.text system:running-config
Destination filename [running-config]?

00:05:25: %SYS-5-CONFIG: Configured from by---(if dont give name)
then if starts to look for server, it must be connected to AAA server tacs and some how when i tranfer the first time config.text to config.old before tranfer back it must carry some information with it, is there a work around for this, thank you for the reply, mic
