I think you want to access your home PC from your office or vice versa.
If this is the situation then you can install team viewer, uvnc, or any remort control s/w. I preffer Team Viewer as it is very easy to install and use.

x2 on the Team Viewer. It will be free for your situation.

Why use a 3rd party software, when you have the built in capability of RDP in Windows with a few adjustments to your firewall? Everytime you install 3rd party apps, your creating overhead. Noticeable? Yes ...how much depends on the app.

Remember, these 3rd party remote type access apps can be exploited very easily. This will be even more apparent when updates and patches are released for the product.
