Wifi Network Extension using SOHO access points... was created by NeoTech
Hey guys i could use some help.
Basically our office has been given a new room and we'd like to extend the wireless network across to it. It is on the other side of the building however and cabling is not an option. We're also on a pretty tight budget.
We bought 2 TP-Link (id have gone with linksys, or belkin myself) wireless access points which we would like to use to extend the network. I have got them talking as one machine, when given the same ip address as the remote access point told me there was an address conflict, no network traffic is being passed through however and the GUI interface on the access points are a little crappy.
Could anyone who has done this before explain the steps and what needs configuring incase i missed something.
I doubt its just a simple firewall problem here but the problem seems to be either on the remote access point near the main office or the main wireless router, which is in the main office.
Maybe i just need more time looking at it but any help is appreciated,
Thanks in advance!

Phew, Problem solved!
Turns out their other techie who installed it had set them both as bridges. I set one as an access point and the other as a repeater and everything is now working as it should.
