You could try and disable isakmp keep-alives all together..
Sometimes its the keepalives that makes the connection go down.
Was 1 year ago I had some VPN issues that got solved by just disabling keep-alives all together..

Hey Tim,
Are you using 804 software by any chance ?
If so its a known bug that keepalivese arent being sent correctly.
(had this problem too...took me like a week to figure it out)
You should try to upgrade or downgrade your ASA

Actually, 7.2(4) currently. But the problem ended up being solved by chaing the config of our tunnels to use Nat Traversal. Apparently two of the users were jumping over more Natting devices then the rest of us and it was getting confused.
We turned it on and poof it works great. Sorry should have come back and posted a followup to this.
