Hi all,

I am new to networking. I got one doubt. Generally we can share the drives of the system to the other system in the network. But i have one system at my home and my friend have one system at his home. i want to share my D drive with full permissions to him. Is it possible to share. if possible then how to implement it and what are the requirements to implement this.

please help me.

Probably the best solution is to setup FTP server software on your computer and to let your friend access your files like that.

When I need a quick FTP solution on a new computer, I grab FileZilla Server (for the server -- the one you'd install on your machine) and FileZilla Client (for the client -- the one your friend would install on his). After you set it up, your friend would just enter the username and password that you create for him and he'll be able to access your drive.
