two dhcp servers clashing on thesame LAN

how did you assign your IPs, the problem I had was two dhcp servers on one subnet please can you give us a detailed config

hey sose install pf sense on ur server and then if u want a detailed config on the network setup check out the pfsense docs manual on their site. its a flash file i guess...

what internet modem are u using?

hey man sose i just verified with another network admin... he did not disable anything on the idirect modem nor did he disable anything wen he configured his pfsense server....

there was kind of a mixed up in my brain solo you were right. a couple of months ago I configured a linksys with a live IP but now i am configuring with a private IP so there is kind of a mixed up in the cable placement in the LAN port and WAN port. since i am not using it as a router I need to place the cable from the modem into the LAN POrt.

even though I was a ble to hack into the modem to disable the dhcp but this is an important observation
