To Block or not to Block, this is my question. was created by PBro
Hi, first post - i need a product that will sit between an internal network (business) and a DVR (CCTV recorder) it needs to be able to be configured to block and allow different IP addresses/Ranges.
It needs to be a separate unit as the DVR is unique code not Win Lin or Mac - any Ideas?.
Cheers.

You need a firewall basically. You could use a hardware firewall device (either commercial grade or domestic quality), a PC running firewall software or perhaps even a router with access control lists enabled on it. To help decide which is appropriate, let us know your budget and whether this for a commercial installation or your own use

IT is a lost cost solution that i need, arouter with the ability to block/allow ip ranges. i dont need or have a PC solution as product needs to be kept at a minimum.
I had a good look around for a low cost router 10/110 is fine, any recommendations?
