Hi ,I've got 2 cisco 2501 --I have named them R1 & R2.
R1 flash file has been erased BY MISTAKE...I have managed to back-up R2 flash on my PC (thru FTP server ),but cant load it on R1.
The message I am getting is :

Router(boot)#copy tftp flash

System flash directory:
No files in System flash
[0 bytes used, 16777216 available, 16777216 total]
Address or name of remote host [192.168.1.64]?
Source file name? c2500-is-l.123-15a.bin
Destination file name [c2500-is-l.123-15a.bin]?
Accessing file 'c2500-is-l.123-15a.bin' on 192.168.1.64...
Loading c2500-is-l.123-15a.bin ... [timed out]
[failed]

Router(boot)#

my second option is to cnfigure R2 as a tftp server so that I can make R1 to boot from R2.
CAN YOU HELP PLEASE

Are you sure you also have a TFTP server on your PC, or is it FTP? They are different.

you are right its through FTP that I have copy all R2 config to my PC ....below is the output of R1 copy command as you can see ther isnt an FTP which I can used to copy this image to my Router R1:

Router(boot)#COPY ?
tftp
rcp
flash
mop
running-config
startup-config
flh-log

Router(boot)#COPY
Can I used a different method to copy this image to my Router R1.

The fastest method is using a TFTP server. Install a TFTP server on your PC then use the same "copy tftp" command. Here is one freeware TFTP server that I used:

www.solarwinds.com/products/freetools/free_tftp_server.aspx

Hope that helps.
