static and dynamic address was created by sose
I inherited a network where some clients use static address while some use dynamic address. and some are refusing to take ip automatically,

window xp clients
winmdow xp box is routing with 2 NIC

Can we get a layout of your network? What is handing out DHCP?

Are those PCs (refusing to take an IP) placed in the same subnet as the DHCP server ?
