2511 setup issue

Hi,

Good day, I have this 2511 i want to use for a access server but when i boot it and i enter the user mode of exec mode
it keeps on telling me it is loading a config file and timing out. I am a new comer to this and i want to setup my ccna lab at home so any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I have added an example below.

The config is probably set to load from a tftp server. Go to rommon mode, change the configuration register (like you would for a password recovery), and the start-config.

I'm still learning here and I may be wrong, but I think the config-register command is used to tell the router where to look for the IOS immage, not the configuration file. Please correct me if I am.

I did some extra reading on this and I found this link here that may be helpful to you with this problem:

Looks like the "no service config" command may resolve this issue.

hi,

:D Thank you very much for responding to my question. that no service config command when used from after config t worked like a charm. It has been booting normally since then. Can one 2500 image be used on another 2500?

Yep, you can use the same image as long as the routers are the same.
