hello my people i will be replacing network equipments and i will now be using a vsat... please guys will my below design make some sense..
DISH > IDU (INDOOR UNIT) > DLINK DES 1108 8PORT 10/100 DESKTOP SWITCH > DLINK DESKTOP SWITCH 24PORT
> LINK SYS WRT54GC WIRELESS ROUTER..
EXPLANATION
from the dish to the indoor unit then from the indoor unit to the 8 port switch. then from the 8 port switch to the 24 port switch at port 8 (on the 8port switch) and linksys wireless router at port 1 (on the 8port switch).
the reason for this design is that i will want to install a software (Antemedia) that will control the wireless connectivity against intruders and also at the same time use another software (nettime) to control the computers on the LAN.
is this possible,
any other suggestion is welcomed... thanks..
