Thanks Dalight,
Im currently using Veritas Backup EXEC DLO agent on the client machine which backs up the data to a HDD on the server.
I want to be able to backup the server to another 1TB network harddisk and be able to restore this data directly to the clients incase of a disaster. The veritas agent encripts the data thus unable to restore directly to the client.
I do not want to use tape drives because of the latency and complexity of retriving the data.

Hi,
Having veritas agents on each desktop is a costly affair, but is a very reliable option.
Following is another way which came to my mind,
1. Creat a home folder for every user on a common server.
2. Write a script or use any directory sync tools and sync the data to respective users folder on the server, on a dialy basis
3. Use NT backup in Windows and backup your data to the harddrive.
Thank You
Naveen
