I'm trying to get SolarWinds Engineers Edition "IP Address Management" to read the lmshosts file on the server it is running on. I have changed the properties in the Advanced TCP/IP settings to enable and clicked import. But when I rescan the subnet the unresolved DNS address's still don't have the entry listed that I put into the lmshosts file. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong.
Here is an example of one line, in the lmshosts.
# 10.0.2.163 KVM for Cats
Is there a start and end designator or something I am missing?
Edit: ok so Hosts file is what I was after, can't figure out how to delete this post at the moment.
