It certainly looks that way. I'm not in work at the moment but should be able to help you out next week if nobody else has sorted it in the meantime

First of all you will need to download a software image for the switch. If you go
here
(you will need a CCO login) you will be able to select the appropriate image for your license type
Then you will need to boot into ROMMON Mode in order to then TFTP the software off a TFTP server. (pretty sure you should still have ROMMON mode).
I will try and find the guide for you for performing the ROMMON update

you don't have an image installed in flash:
You will need to get into rommon and either netboot it or xmodem an image to it. I would suggest netboot, then you can perform a real image install once its running.

Still having trouble, tried to access the ROMmon mode but unable to, using Termpro and Hyperterminal with all break combinations but with no joy.

Here
are the different break sequencies for different applications.
At the end of the above document, there is a section "How to Simulate a Break Key Sequence" which may also help ?
Other then that, have you got Cisco SmartNet on the switch ? I would contact Cisco TAC if you have, hopefully they can provide additional steps.
Cheers
