Hi all.

Scenario:

domain with 4 locations. all locations should have 2x DNS servers, 1 Internal and
1 External(DMZ) Active Directory integrated must be used.

Draw/Explain a Split-Brain solution in addition

The ext. DNS should be able to replicate with the int. DNS server and also be able to replicate to all other ext. DNS servers in the other locations

(im going a online course, and this is one of the questions in a assignment i got.)

What stumps me here is the "ext dns should replicate with the int. dns"

so im having a hard time understanding what they really mean here.. is it a Zone Transfer to the ext. dns?

I tougth Zone Transfer to ext. dns could be kinda dangerous..?
Ive read About Split-Brain solution.. but never seen AD in the context with that,
is it still the same?

Maybe im just seeing this wrong.. im still kinda new to the dns server..but got the basics. i got all the MS books on the topic..but i just didnt find any info about my problem here

My solution.. if i could choose myself:

AD-I DNS replicates to all Domain DC/DNS.. and i would set up forwarders from int. to ext. dns. and have Zone Transfers between all ext. DNS servers.

Could anyone please explain/show me what they really mean in that question/scenario?
