Watchguard Firebox 1000 problems was created by ewaite
I have a watchguard firebox 1000, behind my internet router.
I have a 100Mb connection, that I can get most of the bandwidth when I am outside the firewall. When I am inside the firewall, I get approx 12Mb up and 6Mb down.
We have reflashed the firewall a few times, bu tthere is still something wrong.
Anyone have any troubleshooting suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Eric

Gather as much information as you can, then see if that points to a diagnosis. For example, is all traffic throttled or do pings look okay? If nothing suggests itself then start with the simplest possibilities and work up in complexity. For example, could it be something as simple as a bad patch lead or a port speed/duplex mode problem?

Hey, the watchguard doc says that :
Firewall Throughput
(WFS/Fireware® Pro)
225/240 Mbps
VPN Throughput
(WFS/Fireware® Pro)
75/100 Mbps
Concurrent Sessions
(WFS/Fireware® Pro)
200,000
Nodes supported (LAN IPs)
Unlimited
Now if you are using a lot of proxy services then that might cause the issue. More over you have not mentioned about the firmware version.
Try to use minimum proxy services and check for any network loops..
If possible then try to load the basic config and check it, as it may be a bad config issue as well.
Cheers!!
