Implementing VLANs on the Catalyst 2924c-XL

Implementing VLANs on the Catalyst 2924c-XL was created by Handout
I'm stumped.
I'm trying to implement VLANs on my network and am having problems as some of my switches are 2924s. The trouble is they need to be running VTP to set up a trunk. To run VTP they need the Enterprise version of the software. That in itself is not the problem but rather, the enterprise version of the software that I can find does not support trunks.
Does anyone know how to get around this so that I can go forward and implement VLANs?

I don't think you need VTP to setup a trunk. However, if you are trying to setup this trunk in 'auto' or 'negotiated' mode you need to configure the same VTP domain name on both side of the trunk (vtp domain <VTP name>) even if you don't use it.
Hope this helps.
