Hello everybody. I'm very happy finding this Site.

I'm a systems technician with a great problem with a Cisco 3500 XL.

The switch received a mains overvoltage and the power supply's primary condenser burned....

I repaired it and check that the 5 and 12 volts in the secondary were OK, but when i connected to the cisco 3500 mainboard only ports leds 1 and 2 were lighting. The system does not start and i can not see any activity in system console.
The 3,2 volts supply in the mainboard does not have output. I tried to power it with an external 3,2 volt supply but i have not response..

Any ideas or service manual ?

Thanks.

When you power on the switch, do the POST tests run?
Do you see any status lights lighting and what color are they?
Look at this section of the article I mentioned earlier if it helps:
www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches...9186a00801ab94b.html
If your switch doesn't pass POST then you better call Cisco Systems for assistance
Keep us updated,
Cheers
