NMS :: Network Monitoring Service was created by drizzle
I have been analyzing the different NMS solutions out there in the open source market and I have come down to three options. I need to monitor roughly 600 nodes in a mixed arch environment. We have everything from NT4, to Solaris 2.6 to Fedora Core 5 to OSX. I also need to monitor my standard SNMP devices such as routers, switches, etc.
I have come up with three semi-mature products. I was curious to hear what the users of Firewall.cx experiences have been. Here are the products I have am looking at:
1. Nagios
2. Zabbix
3. OpenNMS
Does anybody have any recommendations? They are ordered by popularity. Nagios is probably the way I will go but both Zabbix and OpenNMS look interesting.
Thanks for the input!
