Physical setup

Server having 2 NIC card. One for Internal (different network) and another for External (which is same network as Router).

My question is thus External NIC should be directly connected to the Router. Or Shall I connect both NICs and router to the Switch.

PC clients ----> Switch ----> Server Internal NIC

and then

Server External NIC ---> Router

Use a crossover cable if you can't get a link
