Broadcast storms

Whats the best way to stop theses especially on layer two switches

To prevent broadcast storms you basically want to break your network up into smaller broadcast domains. There are several ways of doing this such as implementing VLANs

VLANs are certainly the way to go. Not only do you end up breaking your broadcast domains, but you also increase your security level by creating separate logical & 'physical' network segments.
