2940 switch

Can any one help me!! I have a 2940 8-tt-s with no ios. Any sussestions??

Are you sure there is no IOS image? It's confreg may be set to boot into ROMMON mode. Try this:

rommon 1>dir flash:

There should be a file in this directory. It might be bootflash:, I'm not sure with the 2940.

rommon 2>boot flash:<file name>

If there is no image on the switch, the only legal thing to do is purchase one. You'll have to use XMODEM to upload an IOS image in ROMMON mode. If you need assistance with this once you get your IOS image, let us know.
