Good, I understood the article correctly then. I have two buildings that are on exact same hardware and distance. I think I am going to set one up with Multilink and the other CEF and do some benchmarking to see what kind of results I get.

My userbase is small but we deal with very large amounts of data getting pushed back and forth so the end goal is to squeeze as much bandwidth out of the pipe as possible.

Stay tuned! Thanks!

Currently, I have a customer w/ 2 T-1's to an ISP that is using load balancing with CEF. They want to add 2 additional T-1's from a different ISP, and have traffic from the Class C networks that they are getting from this new ISP to be only routed out those new T-1's. Now, I know how to get it to route out a specific interface, but if CEF load balancing is configured, will the two T-1's load balance? Perhaps I should just use the next hop (ISP's) address instead of a specific interface? Any suggestions?

If you have access to, or can have changes made to routers at both ends and CEF is an option. You could try this.

Nice link. Pretty much shows just how easy the CEF solution is. I went with the multilink PPP solution because of my IOS versions on my 2524's. My core 2600's were good to go but the 2524's IOS didn't support CEF. Oh well, both solutions work. I would have preferred to use CEF but the MLPPP solution has worked like a champ for the last three or four weeks.

Thanks again Chris for that first link showing all the load balancing options and features.
