6509 to 2948G-L3 Question

I've enherited a network whose backbone is virtual across multipule 2948s using BVI connections. I would like to shrink it down to using a 6509 for most things. If I'm correct, BVI does not formally exist in the 6509 world. Whats the best way to link these together so I can do a rolling migration to the 6509.

You would just create basic Layer3 VLAN interfaces on the 6509:
