Zonealarm and Home Networks

It was a bit strange because it worked fine even with Zonealarm active. The problem came when the computer was inactive for a few hours. Then either the router or the PC had to be restarted to regain connectivity. It would probably have worked OK if the private network had been added to the trusted networks list, but I didn't feel the need to run Zonealarm as there was a hardware firewall in place and he was happy to run without any egress filtering in place.

It still sounds like some kind of timeout issue. Or, as you say, adding it to the Trusted list. but, if he is happy, then "let sleeping dogs lie".

yep,I get exactly the same problem with my home pc.(loose my internet connection)..have to shutdown zonealarm then refresh :!:
