private ip contecting 2 IsP

i using DSL conection provided me by Local Telephone Company (Isp) ... modem conected to telephone line ... so i dont have public ip ... probibly private ip i uzing and i uzing internet services on my Pc so my queschan iz dat either ISP recognizin my pc/router by telephone no. while tranzalting through public ip //// or //// assigned me a serial no. to my modem ....?
cox i can change my ip on routr and maybe otherz user might hav da same ip of our ISP ... // :roll: //
may i know da ans 2 sittle down N configure mind :idea:
