External Pasword Problem

External Pasword Problem was created by asab
Hi there
Sorry, bit of a novice here…
… Recently, an enforcement of a domain password policy was introduced – passwords now need to comply with password complexity requirements. Many users changed their passwords with no problems – except external users – mobile laptop users. While out and about, they type in their password and get nothing - they don't get; you must change your password message.
At the moment, I’m asking them for passwords that meets the requirements and then I implement it on the exchange - is there a way of avoiding that.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards

So, just to confirm my understanding. The users are not getting prompted to change thier password since the change in the policy ? I didn't think they would get prompted to change, i thought the policy change will just stop a password being set to one that violates its policy and not force current users to change their password if it does violate it.
forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.as...375392&SiteID=17 this thread shows how to configure OWA to warn users that their password is going to expire so they can change their password. Hope this helps ?
