design and implementation of network segment of 3 vlan

i was given this as a project topic , i need ur help too, please put me through, i need your idea, what to do?

with the little idea i have about networking, i have downloaded some material about the project, the supervisor said i should forget about using the cisco swicth, and is the only cisco swicth that can be use to create a VLAN, now he said i should normal 8port switch and then go ahead with the project. it is an undergraduate project(finalist).

Here is a quicky starter network with 3 subnets, one for each switch. The whole network is connected to single router as you can see. Each switch is connected to a certain department or sector of the company.

The first thing you want to do after setting up the devices is to assign different and valid IP address ranges for each subnet.
