Hi,
I have the following test config in my company :
[code:1]
Internet----DSLRouter
(192.168.0.23/24)ISAserver(192.168.0.9/24)
Switch
(192.168.0.14/24)PC
[/code:1]
I install isa server as cache mode only, the isa server has access to the internet, but when i configure my PC browser to use isa server as proxy it doesn't have internet connexion.
actually i can ping the interne address 192.168.0.9 of isa server from the PC.
what's the problem ?

Greetings aminos,
Are you using ISA200 or 2004 ?
What clients are you using ?
Are your clients used as SecureNAT or WebProxy ?
Have you configured any rules ?
Greetz,
Stefan

HI,
Actually i'm using ISA 2000 under win2k, and my clients are WinXP i did not install any soft client on them, i just configured their web browsers to use ISA server as proxy.
I install ISA server as cache mode only, i did not configured any rule as i did not install the firewall with ISA server.
Thanks for all

hi aminos,
try and check if the ports are correct. usually this is either port 8080 or 3128 unless you specified a different port..also make sure that the ISA server can communicate with the rest of the network and that ISA itself can access the internet.

Well actually i found the solution, i made my isa server to have only one NIC and the important thing is to add using ISA administartion console a Client set that point to the range of IP address that will use isa as proxy and to add an access Protocol rule that will allow the client set to use http,ftp..
Because i was thinking if u set up ISA as proxy without a firewall, you don't have to configure anything on the server, just to configure clients to use it as proxy and i was wrong .
Thanks for your response, i suggest that Firewall.cx dedicate a special section for ISA
