Changing Network IP range

hi, if i want to change the IP range of our network that contain
40+ pcs and a domain controller, is there any critical
things that i should do or not to do to proceed with this IP changing?

A few pointers - sorry if some may be blindingly obvious.

Obtain a definite list of all devices with static IPs. All sorts of devices like printers, even switches with management IPs, etc can be hiding away on your network. These will obviously need to be manually changed over to the new range.

Ensure that any IP-based access control lists anywhere in your network are updated.

Also, if you are using DHCP make sure you set the server to give out correct IPs for the computers and internal DNS server (if you are using one).

And don't forget your router/default gateway. At ther very least you'll need to change the address of the LAN interface there

Hummm... I wish it were that simple. I don't think there is a way to backup everything as a whole; however, you could backup individual config files, settings, etc.

I would say have good documentation and spend a great deal of time up front making sure you have identified all the static IPs that need to be changed.
