Shorting a Power Supply

Looking for somebody that has some ideas or knows how to short a computer power supply. I need to power up a couple of fans that are keeping my routers cool.

Was suggested to use a paper clip and insert into 2 pins of the mobo connector.

Zippy,

How do you intend to 'short' a power supply in order to power up a couple of fans ? Shorting the power supply will either blow its fuse or trigger any auto-short protection it might have!

On the other hand, I'm guessing that you might be refering to shorting the 'soft-power' in order to switch it on;

Can you please clarify?

Cheers mate,

Little confused on that one! :?:

A scapegoat is often as welcome as a solution...never memorize what you can look up.

So thats what I've got wrong all these years.... I spent so much money on these damn spike strips and voltage stabilizers thinking that I was suppost to prevent stuff like that from happening..

Anyway, I'll just short circuit this here SMPS and ***BZZZZAAAPPPPPP***
