DOCSIS MODEM

Thanks to the mod who editied my ip.

I was not able to traceroute to it.. so i thought its not much of a security concern...

My actual ISP is Hathway.... seems they get their share of BW from MantraOnline....

Is there anyway in which people on the same isp can share files at a fater (LAN) rate, cuase even if i use IM proggys to share files... i get pathetic speeds....

Your file transfer rates will be limited by the bandwidth of your connection to your ISP. In addition upload rates are usually much lower than download rates unless you've got symmetric DSL. You'd be better off hosting your files on an FTP server which has decent internet links.

whats faster FTp or HTTP, and why?
